Great Quote on Writing

Writing a book is an adventure.  To begin with, it is a toy and an amusement; then it becomes a mistress, and then it becomes a master, and then a tyrant.  The last phase is that just as you are about to be reconciled to your servitude, you kill the monster, and fling him out to the public.

-Winston Churchill

  1. THANKS for subscribing to my “pun-ny” photoblog! I hope I can bring you a smile (or at least a groan) every weekday! I’ve only written one book. It consists of humorous, fictional letters that were actually mailed to a friend over a 10-year period. It never became a “tyrant,” because the individual letters were always “toys,” never intended to end up in a book!
